Dual Purpose!

Agency: Saatchi & Saatchi, Madrid, Spain
Copy reads: "If you have read this and you didn’t realize there are two “a”, imagine all you can’t see when you drink and drive. Don’t drink & drive, please."
In a an earlier post, I talked about taking concepts from already established online jokes. This ad called out to me because it is a successful example of using a popular concept and sending a different message with it. Who would have thought using a joke (per se) could successfully communicate an important message AND make Toyota look good?

Agency: Bernstein-Rein, USA

Innovative, innovative, innovative! Definitely two uses. 1) Telling the consumer the time. 2) Promoting McDonald's

Stimulation for Your Eyes

Advertising Agency: Y&R Not Just Film, Amsterdam, The Netherlands

"The sooner you advertise here the better. Interbest Outdoor"

Advertising Agency: Profero London, UK

This giant pink Post-It stood out to me immediately 1) because its so bright and 2) I'm obsessed with office supplies, especially Post-Its.

If you follow this link, it takes you straight to an app on Facebook that tests you to see how well you know your friends. Initially I didn't think this OOH advertisement would work because how many people actually remember the URL (or even that they wanted to go the site) by the time they get to a computer? BUT, approximately 89 million people access Internet on their phone (not including iPad, iPod, or anything else that allows you to access mobile Internet)

Well, you know what that means.

See the billboard --> Go to website on phone ---> Enjoy game --> Love & Buy Post-It--> Sucess

Advertising Agency: RKCR/Y&R, UK

Text reads: "DEFENDER The best tool for the job"

So self-explanatory and visually appealing.

Advertising Agency: Richter7, Salt Lake City, USA

Genius or ...not?

This would definitely catch many people's attention, but will they be able to decipher the message?

Just in case, here's what it says "Upside-down ads are hard to ignore. Tony Divino Toyota. A bit too honest? Riverdale Road, Ogden"
